Really, Really quick processing time!- Closing January 12, 2011

Marty, we appreciated the really, really quick processing time to meet our short contract closing date!  We visited with 3 other Loan Officers during and after we met with you and they told us that it couldn't be done.  And you did it.  Thank you!

Marty was convenient and prompt: Closing on January 7, 2011

Marty made the application time with him very convenient and was prompt in giving us updates on the status of our loan processing.  We didn't have any problems with the loan and by him giving us the credit approval letter at the very first of our home shopping really helped us to negotiate the best sales price we could hope to get.

Marty is easy to work with and always called us right back with answers to questions that we had as first time home buyer's.

He was VERY helpful!  He explained things to us in a way we could understand and he took care of the problems with the loan processing so that we didn't have to.

OGDEN — With the start of the new year, the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors has new leadership in place.   Serving for 2011 are Bob Hill,  president, who owns and operates Century 21 Golden Spike Realty in Weber, Davis and Box Elder counties.  Shawn Janke, is president elect, who has worked as a Realtor for 18 years and Christy Vail, will serve as first vice president.  Christy has been in the real estate industry since 1988. Sonja Smithing, second vice president, is a 15-year member of the NWAOR and presently serves on the NWAOR board of directors.   Lene' Balster, treasurer, who works as a Realtor in South Ogden.

Tax Deductibility of Mortgage Insurance Extended!

Great news for the New Year! The mortgage insurance tax-deductibility law has been extended
through 2011.

        

•           Eligible borrowers with adjusted gross incomes up to $100,000 may be able to deduct

100% of the MI premiums paid in 2011.

•           Deductions are phased out in 10% increments for borrowers with adjusted gross incomes

between $100,000 and $109,000.

Forecast: Weber, Davis counties to fill up fast

LAYTON — During the next three decades, living space is going to be a little tighter in Weber and Davis counties.

The two counties, and many of the cities within them, will grow exponentially during the next 30 years, according to recently released population forecasts from the Wasatch Front Regional Council.

The WFRC, the state’s transportation planning arm, took total population estimates made by the Utah Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget for Weber and Davis counties, then, with the help of a professional demographer, broke down estimates for each city within the two counties.

Time to refinance?

Mortgage rates spent much of the year setting record lows,  The average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage was still as low as 4.50% today.  With rates this low, if your bank or mortgage lender hasn't called you to tell you into refinancing, you may want to give me a call. 

Swapping your old mortgage for a new one can result in big savings, totaling thousands of dollars over the life of the loan.  Refinancing makes sense if you:

1)  Have an adjustable rate loan
2)  Want to swap a 30-year loan for a 15-year mortgage
3)  Are moving from a jumbo loan to "conforming" size
4)  Can shave 1/2 to 3/4 of a point off your current fixed rate
5)  Need cash out to retire high interest rate credit card debt or a 2nd mortgage
